Virgin America is about to change the face of U.S. air travel starting right now. The upstart airline has been given the green light by the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin operations, and is now selling tickets to San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas. Service to San Diego will be added shortly.
