About Us

What are We About?

First and foremost we aim to celebrate world travel by promoting its many fantastic destinations and to appreciate and accept all of its unique cultures.

We present positive stories about our real travel experience. The stuff we loved and the things we want you to know before hitting the road. Please note, we are not investigative journalists. If a destination is not to our liking then we simply will not write about it.
We are here to inform and inspire. May you be In the Know.

Can I write for ITKT? **
We are proud to offer a content-driven online magazine and we are always on the lookout for fresh perspectives and interesting story angles. We seek writers who truly enjoy travel, have strong writing skills, style, a dose of originality, a sense of humor and a maybe a box of crayons. If you have what we are looking for in a writer, we highly recommend reading our Submission Guidelines and Writer’s Checklists pages to get started. Yes, we know it’s a bunch of reading but in the long run it is valuable and we have faith in you.

I also suggest reading the series 5 Tips to Avoid Travel Writing Rejection Letters to help with some basic travel writing philosophy.

** Please note that submitting writers are added to our newsletter to help let you know the kinds of articles that are getting published, which is important in finding out if we are a good match — your writing and our site. You can be easily removed from our system at any time.

Can I blog for ITKT?
Yes, totally, it’s easy.
While ITKT does not pay for blog entries, there are also less rules:
1. Promote travel.
2. Write about what you want, when you want.
3. Spell and grammar check (but no profanity!).
This is a great way to get bylines and your travel thoughts out into the world with a well-established, well-respected online travel magazine. Wow! that was easy.

Promote Travel
What does this mean? Simple. We reserve the right to not publish articles that does not inspire travel. This is our number one priority.
But what if I was treated rudely by the staff or someone lost my luggage? We feel your pain. ITKT believes in contacting the complaints department of destinations, attractions, hotels, agents concerning your botched travel experience. However, ITKT is not a complaints department. Our advice? Don’t let knuckle heads ruin your trip and don’t check your bags.

We look forward to seeing your story on our site soon.
