Aschi Haas loves outdoor sports: sailing, diving, mountain biking, trekking, snow shoeing and skiing. Living in Switzerland, he can enjoy most of his hobbies next door, especially because he just retired. For diving and sailing he prefers warm water, and so he travels at least once a year to different places with palm trees and white sand. He has dived in Maldives, Malaysia, Galapagos and at other interesting spots, and sailed in the Caribbean Windward Islands and in Greece. He is an underwater photographer and carries his camera, lenses, housing and flashes round the world for a few good underwater pictures. Aschi lives at the lake of Biel, at the language frontier between German and French. Where as his mother tongue is a Swiss German dialect, he enjoys French culture.
